Eid- al Fitry

EID- AL FITRY

Muslims who accepted their fast for being able to subjugate worldly desires during the month of Ramadan and optimize worship with full sincerity, then Eid is a true triumphant day, where today Allah Almighty will give a special award that is always expected by anyone, including the prophets And the righteous, His ridha and magfirah, in return for the good deeds they had done. Allah SWT also promised, none of the Muslims who pray on the feast of Eid al-Fitr, unless it will be granted.

The question is, what about our fasting
whether they are  accepted or not? Or do we do this only as a ritual symbolic, limited to hunger and thirst, as has been pointed out by the Prophet Muhammad SAW? The answer, Allahu 'alam, we do not know the truth. But according to the scholars, there are some indications, one is considered successful in running the fast: when the quality of individual and social piety increases. As his soul became more and more filled with the faith. When his heart is able to empathize and to be  sensitive to the suffering and misfortune of his brother . This means deep appreciation of Ramadan will bring fantastic effects to individual, and social.

Good appreciation and
implementation of this month will encourage us to return to true fitrah as social beings, who have rights and obligations as individual and social. Have we felt it? That is the secret of why the Eid al-Fitr celebration often ends with Minal 'Âidîn wal Faizîn (May we include to people who return to the true nature of human beings and get the happiness of the world and the hereafter). Not only as a prayer and a hope, this remark also reminds us that the highest achievement for those who run the fast worldly and  spiritually. fast is to return to their fitrah (holy without sin).

The Meaning of eid-al fitry

Since eid-al fitry officially became the national holiday of Muslims, precisely in year II H. we are devoted to celebrate it as an expression of gratitude for the victory of great jihad against worldly lust during Ramadan. But Islam does not want symbolic celebration, luxurious. Especially while pushing yourself. Islam advocates this celebration with contemplation about our
deeds so far.

Sheikh Abdul Qadir al-Jailany in his al-Gunyah argues, celebrating Eid ul-Fitr does not have to be with new clothes, but make Eid fitri
as  tasyakur event, self-reflection to re-closer to Alah Swt. Moment of sharpening our social sensitivity. There is a paradoxical view of how happy we are, our brothers and sisters in other places are still crying hungry. Be thankful!
Happy Eid al-Fitr 1st Syawal 1438 H. Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum.
